On 12 August 2026, Ibiza experienced a total solar eclipse — a rare natural event that transformed the island's familiar summer light into something entirely different. And we were lucky enough to witness it from the water.
We left our home port at Marina Santa Eulalia with a few very special people on board and one simple plan: to find the right position at sea, slow down and watch the evening unfold. As the eclipse approached, the colours began to change.
The Mediterranean shifted through different shades of blue and silver. The coastline became darker. The temperature changed. And for a brief moment around totality, shortly after 20:30, everything around us seemed remarkably still. It is difficult to capture that feeling in photographs. But these are a few impressions from an evening we will remember for a very long time.
