Buy a new SAY 42 in Ibiza. In SAY's words, the SAY 42 defined the SAY Carbon Yachts philosophy and set the benchmark for lightweight performance yachts: 12.96 metres of carbon fibre that reaches up to 50 knots and takes 12 guests for a day on the water. A wave-cutting bow, the patented Petestep® hull and a Seakeeper® 2 gyro give a smooth ride at speed, while Aquamatic® DuoProp drives turn every ounce of power into precise acceleration. The hull's A-shaped deflectors reduce drag, spray and fuel consumption, pushing water backwards as they propel the yacht forward.
Dry weight starts at 4.5 tonnes including the Seakeeper 2, and SAY gives an average cruising speed of 20 knots. The range is 290 nautical miles.
The SAY 42 is 100% carbon fibre, built as a custom monocoque that is less prone to corrosion than aluminium or fibreglass hulls, which makes it easier to maintain. SAY Carbon Yachts states that its yachts are 50% lighter than comparable models and use 40% less fuel.
The deck is built for socialising, with three dedicated seating areas and walkways on both port and starboard, so 12 guests have room to relax. It is equipped with a fridge, a washbasin and ample storage, and a dual-zone Fusion sound system controls the cabin and deck volumes independently.
The bow converts into a private sun lounger for two, pop-up showers are integrated into the deck, and an electro-hydraulic swim ladder gives easy, secure access to the water from a bathing platform that extends beyond the hull sides. For the roof, choose between a short mast for a sleek, open-air look or a T-top for shade and protection.
A cabin with air conditioning sleeps two comfortably, and the bathroom has a full-height shower and hot water. Additional storage and fridge space make entertaining easy.
A fully integrated digital cockpit with joystick docking puts total command at your fingertips, whether you are cruising open water or manoeuvring through a marina. Two adjustable, shock-absorbing seats with carbon fibre bodies bring comfort at speed.
